Welcome

On behalf of the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine (ACEM) Victorian Faculty, we welcome all members, trainees, rural generalists, nurses, and students... in fact, we welcome any healthcare provider with an interest in rural emergency medicine to join us in Creswick for the ACEM Victoria Annual Conference 2024. This year the conference theme is Rural Rules. The committee knows that rural emergency medicine does rule, and we want to show you why. Clinicians working in the regional and rural locations of Victoria and the rest of the nation face unique challenges in providing emergency care. But those who work in these regions find the experience rewarding, both professionally and personally, and want to share their stories with you. But wait, there’s more. There will be workshops, social activities, food, networking opportunities... the list goes on. The conference is being held at the stunning RACV resort in Creswick from Friday 13 to Sunday 15 September 2024. It’s a place for friends and families, so get in early and secure your weekend away. One of our favourite Rural Rules is relax, chill, enjoy the fresh air, the crisp mornings, and the beautiful walks when you are away from the chaos of the urban grind.
