I am an emergency physician, toxicologist and medical administrator. My current position is Deputy Director of the Department of Critical Care and Course Convenor of the Graduate Diploma of Disaster and Terror Medicine of the University of Melbourne and Director of Emergency Medicine Research at the Austin Hospital. I have a Masters in Bioethics and Health Services Administration and have published over 100 articles and book chapters in my areas of interest. In 2018 I was awarded the Order of Australia (AM) and the ACEM Service Award, and was made an Officer of the Order of St John (OStJ) in 2019.
