A graduate of Melbourne, and more recently Monash University, and a FACEM since 2007, Associate Professor Mark Putland joined RMH as Director of Emergency Medicine in 2018. His prior experience covered a wide spectrum of Emergency Medicine roles. He was a 2015 Fulbright Professional scholar studying trauma systems in the US and Australia and has authored text book chapters and peer reviewed articles on diverse topics including trauma, respiratory emergencies, access and equity, pandemic response, staff wellbeing and trauma training. In the real world, he is a father, husband, runner, reader, cook and camper.
